Stacy Brown from The Davis Academy recently submitted these wonderful project photos from her fourth and fifth grade Picture This: Graphic Novels! group, a book club that reads graphic novels and makes hands-on projects while discussing them during their lunch recess break. What a fun idea!

So far they have drawn their own comics after reading El Deafo, designed survival badges after reading Bad Island, read New Kid and created their our own new kid self-portraits with edible treats and made stop motion videos about their own experiences, and built bioengineered pets out of Play-Doh after reading Sanity and Tallulah. The club also had lunch with author Laurel Snyder as they discussed her book My Jasper June.
